I am a student from 4JL, please leave me a comment!
This term I began to learn the piano / keyboard, so far I have learnt a lot.
The first week I learnt the following notations:
The second week I learnt these notes:
I also got to do some exercises on the keyboard with these notes.
The piano is really hard and takes a lot of concentration. My mum used to play the drums but she thinks they’re too loud for me to play.
Today my brother, Mum and I all made a water tornado. When my Mum did placement for her University course the class she was in where learning about weather and their teacher made a water tornado, so Mum decided to teach us how to make one. This term I’m learning about water at school so I’m going to take it in to show my class as well.
To make a water tornado you need:
Then you tip the bottles upside down and swirl to create a water tornado.
Watch the videos below to see how it’s done.
It has now been a year since I started my own blog, my very first post was on 27th of June 2011. I have had so much fun creating posts and having the chance to have conversations with so many people from all parts of the world.
On the 13th of July 2011 I wrote a post called My visitors in that post I set myself a goal of reaching 300 visitors before the end of Term 3, I was amazed to discover that I reached that goal within a week of writing the post. I’ve now had 0ver 7,300 visitors to my blog in a year from 98 countries. My new goal will be to get visitors from over 100 countries on my ClustrMap and over 10,000 visitors by the end of the year.
I have written lots of different posts on my blog some of my favourites have been:
I also loved my special surprise post my Mum wrote for my birthday.
Some of the highlights have been:
I made a story up from my imagination. Here’s what it turned out to be.
It was a dark and stormy night. Everyone was asleep except Zac. Who was staring out his window. He saw people in black cloaks it looked like a meeting and right he was. Vampires, ghosts, monsters and lots more. Zac snuck out side to sneak a peek. When Zac got out of the house all he saw was just a grave yard .
“That was not there before” said Zac. Then Zac heard a strange voice and it said “ You are not alone” “I’m alone” said Zac.
But just then the graveyard disappeared. But a whole heap of bats attacked Zac. Zac called for help but no one came. Everyone was deep asleep. Zac got a torch and shined them all with it, which made them all disappear.
I like making creations with my Lego, I have got lots of Lego as presents for my birthday’s and Christmas but some of my Lego was my mum’s from when she was young.
I have a new app on my iPad called Lego instructions. The app lets you download different designs to make. First it shows you a preview of the thing you want to build, then you click the arrows and it shows you step by step how to make the item. It has lots of different designs to choose from some are really hard while others are easy.
My brother Tyler and I have had great fun making some creations, have a look at my slideshow to check them out.
Vote in my poll for your favourite creation.
Last night Mrs Morris attended an award ceremony at Crown Casino as she was nominated for the Victoria Teachers Mutual Bank Outstanding Primary Teacher Award. Mrs Morris was very lucky to be announced as the winner of the award. Congratulations Mrs Morris on your win you deserve it.
Thank you so much for:
Today in Aust it is mothers day so.
I made this picture.
Mothers day is a special day for mums all over the world.
So today I just want to say thank you to my mum and my nana.
I think my mum and nana are so special because they care for me a lot.
A mother’s love determines how
We love ourselves and others.
There is no sky we’ll ever see
Not lit by that first love.
Stripped of love, the universe
Would drive us mad with pain;
But we are born into a world
That greets our cries with joy.
How much I owe you for the kiss
That told me who I was!
The greatest gift–a love of life–
Lay laughing in your eyes.
Because of you my world still has
The soft grace of your smile;
And every wind of fortune bears
The scent of your caress.

For this weeks challenge I have created two creative pieces for you to enjoy. One is musical and the other is a short comic I wrote.
Click on the picture below to view my musical creation using Isle of Tune.
Below is my comic.
For this weeks challenge I made an Xtranormal video where I interviewed my mum about the work she does.
For challenge week 5 (it’s a bit late) I decided to write about apples.
The are lots of different types of apples such as red and golden delicious apples, granny Smith apples, gala apples and rome apples. All of these different types of apples still have the same life cycle.
Here is a life cycle of an apple.
You can eat apples by themselves or you can use them in recipes to make some other delicious foods. Some things that you can make with apples are apple pie, apple cake, apple sauce, apple puree, apple pizza, toffee apples, apple slice, apple muffins and apple crumble. I like to eat my apples made into apple pie, apple crumble, apple sauce and apple puree.
