Tips for water saving

In Geelong we have been on water restirctions since before I was born, which means we have strict rules about how we can use water. Restrictions are in place because we have been in a drought for many years, after the rainfall we had last year though the restrictions aren’t as tough.

There are lots of ways you can save water in your home such as:
-using a water tank to collect the rain water off your roof to wash your car or water garden
-have a shower using a water saver shower head
-turn off the water tap when brushing your teeth
-water your garden using grey water
-use a bucket to collect water while waiting for the hot water to come through and then water your garden with it
-use water saving toliets, washing machines and dish washers
-fix leaking taps
