I couldn’t decide what was my favourite web tool to embed in my blog is, as there are too many to choose from. My Mum and I love to find new widgets, web tools and web sites. We came across this musical site which allows me to share my island with you. It’s called Isle of Tune you get to create an island which then plays music when cars drive down the street. Why don’t you check out my musical creation before making one for yourself.
Did you make your own island, if so what’s the link?

I live near Geelong in Victoria, Geelong is the secondst large town in the state and is home to the “Cats”.Geelong is about 1 hours drive south of Melbourne and is sometimes called the gateway to the “Great Ocean Road”.
Geelong has lots of fun things to do and see such as:
- the beach
- Eastern beach
- National Wool Muesum
- Ford Discovery Center
- Queensclif Marine Discovery Centre
- Adventure Park
- Fairy Park, which is just out of Geelong
The weather in Geelong can get really hot in summer, sometimes it even gets to 40C, in winter it gets cold around 10C and in spring and autum it’s a mixture of both.
What game did you decide to play for the quiz?
How did you go on the quiz?
What is your favourite place in Geelong?
In Australia we play Aussie rules, otherwise know as AFL (Australian football league). This year there were 17 teams that have been playing against each other for a place in the Grand Final which is to be played on the 1st of October.
My favourite team is the Geelong Football Club otherwise know as the “Cats“. The Cats have made it through to the preliminary finals where they play the Westcoast Eagles for a spot in the finals. This year the Cats finished 2nd on the ladder with Collingwood on top who were last year’s Grand Final winners.
My favourite player was Gary Ablet but this year he went to play for the new team Gold Coast Suns, this year I can’t decide who my favourite player is. The last couple of years Geelong has been a great team and have been doing really well they won the Grand final in 2007 and 2009. Hopefully they can win again this year.
In the finals week there is also the Brownlow medal which is an award given to the best AFL player, I hope a Cats play wins.

Today was the school Festa which happens every year in September, one year I had my photo in the paper feeding a camel a carrot using my mouth 😆
There’s lots to do and see such as:
- Art display from all the children
- Music and dancing displays
- Lots of good food to eat
- kids court
- market stalls
- show bags
- baby animals
- pony rides
- dunk the teacher in the cold water
- and lots of really cool rides to go on
The school sells wristbands which allow you to have unlimted rides all day ! I went on all of the rides some more than once.
I also got a coupon for kids court which gave me a cup cake to decorate, a sausage to eat, a spin on the chocolate wheel (I won a big block of chocolate), 2 lucky dips and a lucky bottle. We also got a show bag which had a bag of fairy floss, a bag of lollies and a can of drink in it.
What was your favourite ride at the Festa?
Does your school have a Festa, if so what is it like?
In the southern hemisphere its now spring time which means that its nearly my favourite time of the year which is summer. In spring our days are longer which means I get to play outside more, it’s also time to start wearing t-shirts, shorts and hats.
In spring I like to:
~play outside because in summer sometimes it gets too hot to play outside and I can only go outside in the morning
~go for rides on my bike
~walks along the beach, swimming in the beach in summer is my favourite
~go to the block and go for a nature walks but one things for sure I don’t want to see a snake on a nature walk because they come out from hibernation and they bake in the sun and they are very hungry after winter
