A Game for you to play

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by on August 21, 2011

One of my favourite games to play on the internet at the moment is called Poptropica. In the game you can make your own character and travel to many different Islands. On your travels you collect items and place them in your bag to use them later. You get to solve problems and talk to different people.

On one level which is called Mystery Train you can collect little things on your tray and then you can put them in the bin and wash the dirty dishes. On another level you get to fly around in a plane.

Poptropica

I like Poptropica because you can go on different levels, do things like save the world from baddies and you never die and the game saves so you can play it another day.

Have you played Poptropica and what did you think of the game?

What is your favourite game to play on the internet?

    Hi Jarrod,
What a great post about Poptropica! I like the way you explained the sort of things that you do whilst you travel to the different islands. I have not played it before but my son was playing it this morning (until I took my computer back!).
I was wondering if you know anything about the game Moshie Monsters? I am thinking about adopting a pet monster for my class but would like to know more about the kinds of activities that need to be completed first.

Keep up the great work – your blog is very impressive!

I find it so interesting that even though you live in Australia and I live in the United States, kids in both places enjoy a lot of the same things!

I am certain that my students will like Poptropica! But, do they HAVE TO create an account? Tell me more about how it works.

Yes you do need to create an account. What you need to do is choose if you want to be a boy or a girl, then say how old you are, then you choose a character, then you enter Poptropica, choose an island and then you can play. When you save your game it then lets you choose a username and password.

I don’t really play games on the internet but there are many games that Nate likes to play. One of them is called Battle Dawn.

Well, I just asked Nate about Battle Dawn and he says he doesn’t play it anymore! I need to keep up with his games.

Nate says he plays a game called Dark Orbit. http://us.darkorbit.com

Dark Orbit isn’t exactly a kids game but you have a space ship and join a team. You can fight other people or aliens with laser beams or rockets. Maybe when you’re older you’d like to play it!

On Shrink Ray Island first you need to shrink and then try and get a remote control and do the following:
      1. plug in the toaster
      2. get a grape and put it on the toaster handle and stay on it then you’ll blast off
      3. move the salt onto the black handle of the spatula and then jump on the other side but not onto the black handle.
      4. if you don’t succed the first thime getting on to the fridge, keep doing it until you get on top and then go to the remote
      5. go to the monster truck and get in and drive it.

      Hope that helps.

To play with someone else you need to get a multiverse card which cost 350 credits, so I have not played with anyone yet. I have played at lunch time with friends on the one computer though. By the way you can get a free graduation student character.

Are you stuck on Astroknights because I know a cheat for it. When you go into the room with the dragon, just go out of that room and it will say, “ You already beat the dragon in this room. “

I also thought of an amazing strategy for The Great Pumpkin. When you are trying to hide from the spotlight, get as far as you can get and you can get to the house faster.

Those were my to best cheats for Poptropica.

    Dear Jarrod,

I am stuck on The Great Pumpkin. How did you beat the part where you have to hide from the spotlight? I am very good at the part where you have to doge the other plane. It is easy in my opinion.

I can also tell you how to beat Super Power.

First you have to get a costume from a local store. Then you have to go over to the jail. They will have some things to tell you and give you. After that you have to go into the town. Then you have to beat all five villains. They are in the bank, the underground subway train, the broken statue, the bathroom, and the garbage dump.

After you beat all five villains, go to the main land and you will see the phone ringing. Pick up the phone and you will automatically get the flying power. Go into town and you will see a very tall building. Fly to the top of the tall building and you will see a villain fly into the sky. Beat the villain and then go to the jail. At the jail, you can pick up your reward.

That is how you can beat Super Power.

    Sincerely,
    Royce

P.S. I did not tell you how to beat the villains because you have to figure that out yourself.

P.P.S. You can jump up the building before you have the flying power.
